The news Thursday wasn't exactly dominated by the play on the field, but that doesn't mean nothing happened. Fans in St. Louis and Seattle, especially, were treated to quite the show (Mets fans too, but not through home runs).

Let's see some of those trots!

Home Run of the Day: Aubrey Huff #3, San Francisco Giants – 23.77 seconds [video]
Contrary to what some might think, I don't really have anything against the Giants and I'm glad to see Huff wake up last night. His three home runs makes him the sixth player to accomplish the feat in the last three weeks. With Colby Rasmus's grand slam that tightened up the game some at 10-7, the third home run was important for the Giants.

Slowest Trot: Aubrey Huff #1, San Francisco Giants – 25.24 seconds [video]
This is something you don't see everyday. Each of Huff's home runs was quicker than the previous one, with his first two trots being the two slowest of the night. The only way it would have been more perfect is if the third home run somehow managed to be the quickest of the night. I don't think that's happening anytime soon with Aubrey Huff.

Quickest Trot: Carlos Peguero #2, Seattle Mariners – 19.87 seconds [video]
Without multi-home run games from Aubrey Huff and Carlos Peguero, there would have been only nine home runs hit in the major leagues on Thursday. As it is, though, there were fourteen. Of those, Peguero's second blast was the only one to round the bases in under twenty seconds.

Damn you Jack Cust, I had Huff to win, place and show.

Had a feeling Huff would rank as slowest trot. He Cadillaced it a little as he rounded the bases after #1. Kinda surprised he didn't get plunked after #2, frankly.
