Mother Nature had her say in too many games on Tuesday, postponing three games across the league. In the remaining games, though, there were some great moments, including a multi-homer walkoff, a tape-measure blast, and someone's first career trot. Not bad for a random Tuesday in April.

Now let's get to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Alexei Ramirez #2, Chicago White Sox – 21.04 seconds [video]
I really, really wanted to put Justin Upton's monster slam into the Fatburger across the street (video) as the Home Run of the Day, but I can't pass up Ramirez. Ramirez's walkoff home run in the bottom of the tenth inning was his second home run of the day after staking the White Sox to a 3-1 lead earlier in the second. Yes, we're forced to listen to the horrible home run call of Hawk Harrelson during Ramirez's trot, but the game he had is worth it.

Slowest Trot: Ryan Howard, Philadelphia Phillies – 23.89 seconds [video]
Yet another day where Ryan Howard runs out a relatively average length home run trot but is stuck as the slowest of the day due to sheer bad luck. There were twenty home runs in all hit on Tuesday and only three took more than 23 seconds.

Quickest Trot: Peter Bourjos, Los Angeles Angels – 18.22 seconds [video]
And only two came in under twenty seconds (Jason Heyward had a 19.28 second trot). Bourjos, the Angels' second-year player hit his seventh career home run (and first in 2011) on Tuesday, but it was the home run by Mark Trumbo that was the bigger story. Trumbo's home run (21.38 seconds) was his first career blast after hitting 120 in his minor league career.

(Remember: I am running an experiment over the next couple of weeks. If you're interested in Tater Trot Tracker commentary during the day, follow the Tater Trot Tracker on Twitter at @TaterTrotTrkr. We'll see how it goes. You can also follow me at @Wezen_Ball.)

The Fatburger Upton hit is actually still in the park, it's on the far side of the concourse out there. Still pretty darn far, though...

I don't think it's actually possible to put one out through the roof at Chase Field. To the best of my knowledge, the panels in the north wall have been bested only in BP and never in a game (of course, they're not open all the time, either).

Thanks, Llary. I realize the Fatburger is in the building... I was attempting a little exaggeration there, but it probably wasn't very clear ;-)

That was a monster of a home run, though.
