BP Teams Up with Dynasty League Baseball

by Joe Hamrahi

As you may have noticed, we’re making a concerted effort this year to align ourselves with some key partners in the baseball industry. Whether it is teams, organizations, networks, or even players, we hope the collaboration of minds across the sport will yield some great ideas and provide an added value to our readers and subscribers.

Those of you who attended the SABR Day event in New York have already witnessed what our partnership with the Society for American Baseball Research can bring to the table.

Next week we plan to unveil a chat series that we feel will bring fans closer to the game and provide an intimate look at what goes on behind the scenes.

Today, I’m happy to announce that BP is teaming up with Michael Cieslinski and the folks at Design Depot to offer our readers a chance to experience, for free, the newly released Dynasty League Baseball Online.

DYNASTY League Baseball Online (see image below), from the designer of Pursue the Pennant, is the first and only real time multi-player baseball simulation game that allows you to play in Greatest Team bracket tournaments, Greatest Team leagues and current season continuous draft leagues with box scores, stats, standings and brackets updated in real time.

You can also play solitaire vs. the computer manager or live vs. a friend with total access to every season in the DYNASTY League Baseball library.

For more than 25 years DYNASTY League Baseball has been the baseball simulation game leader in realism. You’ll experience detailed ball park effects, in-depth player ratings and precise statistical accuracy including batting and pitching splits.

A Special Offer for Baseball Prospectus Readers from DYNASTY League Baseball Online

Visit DYNASTYLeagueBaseball.com and sign up for your account that offers a free two day trial. When your free two day trial expires, you can then use promo code BPDYN1 for one free month when you select the monthly subscription option.

Enjoy!

Too bad it couldn't have been Strat-O-Matic.

Too bad it couldn't have been Diamond Mind, but I think BP already went down that path.

So it's just a 1 month trial/promotional period for BP subscribers?

I'm already marketed to death.

Yes, but you can play as many games as you want with as many players or teams as you want during that time. If you don't want to try or don't want to play beyond a month, then that's completely fine. Dynasty is just offering up this free month to those who would enjoy the game and want to give it a try. In other words, you get for free something that normally would cost $14.95. That's all.

It just seems like a game that requires a lot longer than 1 month to really get into. Maybe I'm wrong.

this is GREAT! I love Dynasty League Baseball, and while I am a cards and dice guy I did enjoy the 1 month of Dynasty League Baseball Online I purchased.

I look forward to more collaboration between BP and Design Depot. At least, I can hope for more collaboration.
